Monday - Yuck

Well another week has passed, it's Monday, why does it feel like Mondays are only in existence to smack you in the face like a wet kipper? I awoke this morning 100% sure that it was Sunday, I was warm, comfy and full of excitement about going to our favourite breakfast venue INKR7 for some yummy eggs and a glass of juice, I thought about a stroll on the beach, a movie, possibly even a little trip into town. I was smug, I was happy and then ....................
My alarm went off.
I don't set my alarm on weekends so my dream was ruined.
I got up and made it to work in time for a coffee.
We had a good weekend as it worked out. To be honest it didn't work out as planned!
On Saturday we thought we'd catch the 16 tram to Kew the home of some rather stunning gardens and a boating lake. Easy you would think. You would be wrong. The tram was not working so we got the ever treacherous replacement bus, I am sure you all know the sort, the one that picks you up takes you on a whirlwind tour of somewhere you didn't want to go and then drops you off in a random location. our random location happened to be outside the front of IKEA oh yes.
So we abandoned our dreams of punting and champagne and settled for meatballs.
We had a great evening and went out for a few drinks.
El had a lovely Sunday wandering around Melbourne ( she covered some serious ground ) I took the opportunity to read. It was heaven.

We have plans this week, a film at the gold class cinema, a meal at a Russian restaurant and Friday night we intend to laugh our arses off, we're going to the Melbourne comedy club.

That's all for now, I can smell El's lamb roast drifting from the kitchen.
