Monday

Well I start the week unemployed, which turns out to be quite nice! I miss having structure to my day and I also miss knowing I'm going to get paid, but mostly I miss seeing the people I worked with. We have had a brilliant weekend and have managed to get almost everything we need to make Malkovich great. This weekend saw a return of some of the wonderful things Australians say -

We started out the weekend by visiting Clarke Rubber - El had become obsessed that foam rubber was the solution to all our problems, although I had some pretty mighty reservations I have learnt to trust her hair brained schemes. Well, I was not disappointed, would you believe that there is a shop roughly the size of a small super market that deals only with all your foam rubber needs. Well in no time we had isolated the foam for us and had a young chap cut it to size. When it came to pay for the said foam they charged us half the price they'd quoted.
The guy serving us is making his way to England in the coming weeks and was looking to work in a similar industry ( foam rubber. ) He asked us what was the name of the English equivalent - We had to inform him that Foam /rubber is not really celebrated in the UK - or at least we don't have a store specialising in it with the tag line " come in and have fun " !!



We picked up all the other essentials from Bunnings, IKEA and headed back to the homestead.
Did I mention that we carpeted him? no? well we did - after just 2 days of hard work and dedication we have a van, that the van equivalent of ideal homes would be proud of, wonderful.

Well sadly I must dash as although I have no job El is using me to run errands and file various forms around the city! keeps me out of trouble I guess...
